Stefan began studying classical guitar with renowned Belgian classical guitarist Richard Van Wyk and later composition with Nick Jefferson.
After achieving his International Baccalaureate Diploma with Excellence in Music, he proceeded to study at the Queensland Conservatorium majoring in Composition and studying under Gerard Brophy where he was awarded a Bachelor of Music in Composition and the Silver Harris and Jeff Peck Composition Prize. The prize has given him the opportunity to write an orchestral piece to be performed by the Queensland Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra in 2011.
Stefan has fronted a number of Progressive rock bands and Jazz Combo's. He is currently working as a resident composer and arranger for the BrizWest Community Ensembles as well as being the conductor for the BrizWest Concert Band and Big Band "The Kate Street Mob" (KSM).
In his spare time Stefan likes to paint, hence this page.
